Isobornyl acetate

Isobornyl acetate is a chemical compound. It is the acetate ester of borneol. It is used as a food additive, flavoring agent, and odor agent. It is a component of the essential oil from pine needles and primarily responsible for its odor. Isobornyl acetate appears clear liquid, has fresh and woody odar character, and a camphor like smell. Sulfuric acid as the catalyst for preparation from camphene with acetic acid. Isobornyl Acetate is used for the fragrance formula of soaps, cleaning and other household products.
