The main advantage of our Activated Alumina are ease of handling, non-corrosive nature, capacity for repeated regeneration, Inert towards liquid water, stability to fairly high temperature, low resistance to gas flow, great mechanical strength and can achieve low dew point of – 75°C.

DESICCA GRADE Activated Alumina is used for drying of air, gases, and liquids. Purification and conditioning of insulating oil and Industrial oils. Removal of acidic impurities and trace metal scavenging in organic streams and inorganic gases (fluoride scavenging in HF alkylation and feedstock purification). Removal of oil vapours from gases. Purification of drinking water e.g. removal of floride compounds etc. Used in refrigeration circuits, transit packing for goods like electronic pharmaceutical and food. Used as catalyst & catalyst bed support / carriers. Grade FR – I used as fire retardant fillers.


Alumina Balls when used as bed toppings and supports will act as filters to remove many impurities from the gas stream & help in uniform distribution of the feed gas. Presence of Alumina Balls at the top & bottom of the catalyst bed, keep the bed intact during pressure fluctuation. It can withstand high thermal shocks and are unaffected by repeated emergency shutdown and startups. The Alumina refractory bed supports are specially useful as inert catalyst support in secondary reformers of ammonia manufacturing plant and also oil refineries and chemical process industries.

As refractory bed top plugs and supports in order to protect the catalyst bed from thermal impurities so that the catalyst bed is kept intact in spite of wide pressure variation.
